Powerful Tools for Caregivers in Ontario County (in-person)

Class is in-person at the Ontario County Office for the Aging every Friday beginning April 26th through May 31st from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Dates: April 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a 6-week educational program that focuses on the needs of family caregivers of individuals with chronic conditions. Family caregivers develop a variety of self-care tools to:
• Reduce personal stress
• Change negative self-talk
• Communicate their needs to family members and healthcare providers
• Communicate more effectively in challenging situations
• Deal with difficult feelings
• Make tough caregiving decisions
Class participants also receive a copy of The Caregiver Helpbook, developed specifically for the class. This is a free class for family caregivers of someone with a chronic illness and/or dementia.

We ask for a suggested contribution of $20.00 to cover the course and materials.
