Powerful Tools for Caregivers, Monroe County (in person)

Class is in person at the JCC every Friday beginning May 3rd through June 7th from 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Dates: May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and June 7

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a 6-week educational program that focuses on the needs of family caregivers of individuals with chronic conditions. Family caregivers develop a variety of self-care tools to:
• Reduce personal stress
• Change negative self-talk
• Communicate their needs to family members and healthcare providers
• Communicate more effectively in challenging situations
• Deal with difficult feelings
• Make tough caregiving decisions
Class participants also receive a copy of The Caregiver Helpbook, developed specifically for the class. This is a free class for family caregivers of someone with a chronic illness and/or dementia.

We ask for a suggested contribution of $20.00 to cover the course and materials.
